Top 10 Resolutions or ‘Reminders’ for 2015

  1. Be healthy – personally and professionally. Manage your assets, cut your costs, and don’t forget to plan ahead. What do you want in the next few months, years, or the rest of your life? How will you get there? Do you have a complete and comprehensive estate or business plan?
  2. Educate yourself – there’s rarely an experience out there that someone hasn’t been through and with today’s technology at our fingertips there’s no excuse not to know better. Learn from your mistakes and make the most of them. Were you bogged down by the probate process after the death of a loved one? Do you need to make provisions for an ill child in your care incase something happens to you? Would you like to ensure your favorite charity keeps running?
  3. Remember – you can turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones.
  4. Where there is a ‘will’ there is a way – and the way is certainly easier with a Will. So get one (see previous blog article for reasons).
  5. Forgive yourself…and everyone else – because you can’t move forward if you don’t let go of the negative. So, some mistakes were made? Whom hasn’t made a few. What are you going to do about them TODAY? Do you want to own your own dream business? Reach a new market? Take better care of your family or community?
  6. To do better, be better – Maybe it’s finally getting your plans together or maybe it’s just checking one item off a list. Whether it’s the whole enchilada or just your AHCD form (see previous post), make some progress. It’ll feel good and start 2015 off right!
  7. Recognize the good – Be aware of what works well, and what doesn’t. Don’t toss the baby out with the bathwater, but if you don’t find this blog supportive, maybe consider a comment? Constructive criticism? We’d love to hear what our clientele considers an important topic for discussion.
  8. Laugh…a lot – it’ll put you in a better frame of mind to manage everything you’ve got to do to make 2015 your best year yet!
  9. Love…always – if you remember it all comes back to what we love, no matter how angry or afraid we seem. So, no matter how difficult the topic or difficult the time, choose to choose love. This might mean getting your paperwork together, having a significant conversation with another, or just considering about your options.
  10. Well wish – we wish you the best and you whilst it constitutes no legally binding arrangement we strongly suggest that you wish yourself and the world well. Positivity is the smallest seedling we can start supporting when all seems to be too much to handle. To start a change for the better. So, see your smiling and smart face in the new year!
